Lake Choice

I have a buddy that flies in each year for us to take an annual fishing trip together. We have always gone to Kentucky Lake. But now I am considering if we should go to another body of water such as Cumberland or Dale Hollow, etc. Any advice? We will be going May 1st.
We are fishing for bass.

Reports are coming in that 2021 will be the best year out of the last several for KY/Barkley. The spawn of 2016 was real strong so this translates into a good year class of 15-17" bass for 2021.

I'd take a good look at Barren, esp if water is right(which is always a crapshoot). Bass during the day or hybrids at night. Same for Cumberland, except switch stripers for hybrids.

He have been coming down to Barkley for over 21 yrs. And the last several years has been Terrible for Ky/Barkley standards. We have been talking about going to the chick or somewhere else. Hate too because it is truly my favorite place on earth.
