Marathon and BP sold their separate stakes in Colonial in 2002 to a unit of Koch Industries, a privately held conglomerate with significant oil interests. Those sales gave Koch the largest stake in the pipeline, with 28.1% of the privately-held shares.

So a solely privately owned company controlled by the GOP donating Koch Brothers was shut down by Russian hackers who got into the payment computers and shut them down. They didn't shut down the pipeline but only the payment computers. Since the Kock Brothers could not charge for the gas flowing through the pipeline they decided to shut the entire pipeline down. Kock Brothers and the other owners decided to pay the ransom to the hackers.

This is not Biden's problem. It's the Kock Brothers' problem. This is what you get when you let a private company and a bunch of crooks run a pipeline that provides gasoline to half the nation. They can't even protect their payment computers. And then you have them paying Fox Noise to go around every day blaming the Biden Administration for the pipeline shutting down. This just goes to show that private companies can't be trusted to do what is best for America.
