Looking at the load trends 2020 was slow as Covid hit, makers made less, and imports were slowed till we figured out it was safe to do that.
2021 saw more buyer demand, more production, more shipping and so demands ramped up shipping. And, the numbers as projected are going to decline as they follow historic demand trends.
Wish the news folks would get this kind of data before they try to make a normal occurrence into a political statement, expecially since Covid can be attributed as the major supply chain disrupter.
Seems to me every time the news folks yell “Empty shelves…..shortages”. Folks rush out and hoard and what was little on the shelf becomes less. Self inflicted foot gun shot me thinks.
