Day 4.........
I did not fish Monday and Tuesday due to work. But I did get out today, and I'm glad I DID.
I caught 4, and had 2 other pulldowns . 3 were caught on the fly, and 1 was caught on a silver buddy.
The silver buddy fish was a solid 22 incher 4.8lb DONKEY.
Ah, life is GOOD.

I'm back in the room now, but I started the morning very early. I ran 10 miles and then spent the next 2 hours trying to buy a fish. Finally, around 8am, I came onto a cut bank area where it bluffed out into a flat . BOOM. Fly bite on.
I caught 3 on back to back to back casts, and then while taking a pic of the 3rd fish, the fly I dangled over the side of the boat got bit, and I **** near lost my favorite float any fly rod.
Ah..............the bite was on.
Then as the front pushed in, it got ugly. Caught two more, but the ran and wind pushed me off the lake.
On the way back to Hendricks Creek, I stopped at a favorite spot, and caught 3 in an hour or so on a Jig. Not bad.
Ended up with 5 on the fly and 3 on the jig.
Not a bad day.
I think he ran 10 miles up the lake, maybe.

hahaha, yea, this fat azz usually runs only when chased by a GRIZZLY or a mountain lion.![]()
I would say, depending on what you're asking, my overall percentage of fishing anywhere is anywhere but Indiana. Indiana fishing is horrible.
I used to spend 8 4 day weekends, in the spring and 8 4 day weekends in the fall at KY and Barkley. That slowed down a little a few years ago, but I plan on going to KY and Barkley lake about 6-7 times next year.
When I'm down here at Dale Hollow, It is almost all Tennessee water. The water I do fish in KY is nearly always covered with my Tennessee license.
I do have both a Tennessee and KY yearly license, so I'm covered.
Hope this answers it.

Welp Boys........Sunday was one of the best days I have ever had on the ole holler. IT was CRAZY.
2 on the fly quickly, and then we noticed something "different" about the birds and the loons, and the way they were working together to murder bait......a quick investigation and Andy and I found a massive ball of bait, or a couple balls of bait, being destroyed.
A couple casts in and around it yielded good results, so we spent the next 3 hours, tracking and fishing this baitball.
Talk about FUN......it was an absolute blast throwing swimbaits, tail spinners and silver buddies into this baitball and hanging on.
We caught 19 for the day and had 17 on the bait ball.
It was CRAZY.
Sorry about the pics being all upside down and crap.
I hate computers. The autorotation stuff should be banned.

Awesome!
Those days are some of the best. Go in with plan A and plan B just happens and makes your day. Always pays to keep eyes and ears open when on the water![]()
Nice!
So,
Last year we invited Elwood's son down to the cabin to experience the Float and Fly.
The cabin I stay in is the EXACT cabin woody used to rent so many years ago. IT was a little tough talking and telling woody stories in the cabin this year, but I will tell you what..........It was AWESOME.
His son caught a few yesterday on the fly, Duck Red, on a MAGIC spot.
Folks who KNEW woody, know the spot........
I'm glad It happened.
