There was a lot of ballot harvesting, and a lot of questions, and a lot of voters that "never" voted before, and a lot of rules that changed, and a lot of judges that ruled, and a lot of governors that did arbitrary crap, and a lot of attorney generals that did arbitrary crap.

IF that crap is mitigated.......and I believe it has been, then democrats are running very very, VERY scared.

my dad didn't vote because he said they're all crooks and he was right.
even my local town is so corrupt it makes me madder than a wet hen.
the developers finance the campaigns and then tell their puppet mayor, aldermen, and sheriff what to do.
and yes, most of these developers are republicans. unlike the other side, i call a spade a spade.
i'm sick of it all.
without basic human decency, i don't think any government can flourish.

I unregistered a little over 3 years ago. It was right after the primary for county elected officials and that election is due again in May of 22 so it will soon be 4 years since I last voted. The funny thing is registering to vote is as simple as filing out the paperwork and sending it in. Unregistering on the other hand requires a trip to the courthouse, having the county court clerk scratch their head and and say I don't think that's possible. I told them I did not know it was like I joined the hells angels or the mafia because they are the only two things I know of that once you join you can't leave. After telling me to simply not vote when in reality I wanted my name removed from the books I insisted they make a phone call to Frankfort. After doing that the paper work was faxed for me to unregister. I only had my drivers license so I had to go home and get another form of ID because unregistering requires two forms of ID. Then once your unregistered you get notices like the one in the picture I posted...

Uh, they don't have to send me a notice because I'm the one that requested having my name removed from the books. On a local level I have personally know on a close basis and also had a direct relative that was an elected official. I have personally seen underhanded things that go on as well as the good old boy I'll turn my blind eye for you my political brother. On a state and national level I don't think there is enough bandwidth for me to type my disappointments. The final straw was one day when I was looking at the ballot and I realize none are whom I would want to do the job. I got tired of voting for the lesser of two evils so I tapped out and simply let other people decide the rat race.

The most common thing people say when they find out I'm unregistered is if you don't vote you can't complain....well let me address that. I am an American citizen who still has 1st Amendment rights. I don't have to be a registered voter to have rights as an American citizen. I simply chose not to participate in the voting process. Now that does not mean what I say does not have consequences but I'm free to voice my opinion knowing there is consequences.

Dems had a no-win situation. Biden was the right person to defeat Trump, but the wrong person to try to form some sort of cohesive coalition among the various party factions. Same with VP - right person to guarantee an election victory, wrong person to be first in line of succession.

Both the Dems and the GOP are in remarkably similar situations. As the wingnut factions of their parties get loonier and loonier, how do you hold on to the votes in the center?

The democrats have done a far better job even though McConnell swore to obstruct anything that Biden tried to do. But Biden got around McConnell and did a lot of good for the people. You are just sore because now you must pay a few more bucks in taxes if Biden gets rid of the Rich Tax reductions under Trump. The middle class needs those tax breaks more than the upper class.

The Democrats are going to pick up seats in the US Senate and the House and Trump will go down in History and a one term twice impeached x president who never did anything for the American public.

I gotta say, it's tough to debate such lofty points as "you're butthurt" and "you are just clueless." Especially after your first sentence, which you are unable to support with...well, anything factual other than "you just wait."
