    Doctor: You're irrational.
Vaccines don't keep you from getting sick, they keep you from dying. And, yes, COVID and influenza are both viruses but one is infinitely more deadly.

The goal in the health community has never been the impossible goal of eradicating it, it's been to mitigate its risks, the primary one of which being dying.

The goal posts of the CDC and the WHO and the Biden Administration have changed, so much who knows what the end game is.

And YES, they all are on record talking about vaccines and eradicating COVID. NOT one says anything about controlling it.....

    Sorry.

I'd be super interested to see that statement they all made. I can't find it, though.

My search results for "fauci claims eradicate covid" yields exactly the opposite.

Biden is on record all over the place.

The problem with search engines is they can be seeded to show or NOT show results.

THAT has also been proven....but I doubt you believe that either.

Use an alternative search engine, you might be enlightened.

I beg to differ. Definition of vaccine:
a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease.

You are wrong about what vaccines are, and they need to call the battery of Covid shots something besides a vaccine.

The goal of the medical community depends on who you listen to. Since the devil virus showed up, much like the virus itself the goal has mutated.

I'd also argue that Covid is not 'infinitely' more deadly, there have been quite deadly flu strains. Too lazy to research it, but it's pretty likely no 'vaccine', or countrywide shutdown, or government checks stopped them.

I wouldn't hang my hat, or my argument, on an outdated dictionary definition. Words evolve as their meanings and usages evolve. Fifty years ago, if you looked up "gay" in your Webster's you wouldn't see the first reference to its meaning today.

I agree the medical messaging has been horrible. Under both administrations not to mention the disastrous WHO.

When I say "infinitely" I'm referring to today's common flu strains. They just don't compare to the severity of COVID.

My boss's last name is Gay.

Had an OS upgrade scheduled for the VPN system at one of the major space flight centers last night. Fell asleep early and slept right thru the allotted window to do the work. He got called to the carpet this morning. So did I. Bet he wishes I was gone.

new home construction still on the rise..

The December increase puts home construction at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.7 million units, the Commerce Department reported Wednesday. In all of 2021, nearly 1.6 million housing units were started a 15.6% increase over 2020.

The December housing data was boosted by multi-unit projects where starts increased by 5%, offsetting a 2.3% decline in single-family starts. However, economists note that multi-family units make up significantly less of the market than

not sure if this is good or not?

Ok so here is my question...
on the face of this it looks like growth is an awesome thing.
and for the builder, the construction supplier, the transportation entity and all that support new construction these are good times.
but when the major growth is in the "multi unit housing" sector that tells me less people are building or buying their own homes and are now renting.
could the real estate tsunami caused from disastrous inflated prices and the banks that approved 100% loans on those upside down properties be heading for us?
