They should be banned on the walkways. hehe.

If they can get the battery costs down and get the range up and build a network of quick charging stations that we can use at low cost then electric will take off. They need to get the cost of all automobiles down. Some of them cost more than my first house.

I read an article about quick charging and Purdue, where a Prof has a charging cable that can handle the SUPER HEAT and high amps necessary to quick charge in about 5 minutes. I will see if I can dig it up.

    Here it is.

    https://www.purdue.edu/research/feat...al-management/

You can also google Purdue fast charging cable.

    It is pretty interesting Tech.

My F150 is a hybrid. 1/2 it moves around on gas, 1/2 time it moves on a tow truck 😂😂

We got a CMax too. 2015 that has had zero repairs to date.

I’ve tried sneaking up on people in parking lots, and it always fails because the wife yells at me too loud😂

    Here is what I found:

Here is a list of all MSRP battery cost details for the various Toyota Priuses offered since 2001:

    2001 – 2003 Toyota Prius (first generation) – $3,649
    2004 – 2009 Toyota Prius (second generation) – $3,939
    2010 – 2011 Toyota Prius (third generation) – $40,80
    2012 – 2015 Toyota Prius Liftback – $3,939
    2012 – 2016 Toyota Prius V – $3,939
    2012 – 2016 Toyota Prius C – $3,807

Each of the aforementioned prices will be reduced by a $1,350 core credit for the old battery pack that is being replaced, which the dealer will then recycle through the long-established Toyota program.

    That is a HUGE improvement.

    We shall see.

    No more

No more battery or electrical puns, or any humor allowed in this thread. Not good to make old men laugh too much.

BTW, the guy who came and made keys for my gas hogging truck showed up in a non current, but top of line Tesla. 0-60 in some stupid amount of time like 3 seconds, and he said the new ones were much faster. When he left he showed off and disappeared like a shot, only a whistling sound. Weird.
