why don't we loan Ukraine a couple of wart hogs to take out the 17 mile long russian convoy of tanks, trucks, etc.?
could the hogs hit and run before russian jets see them?

Excellent..and a method.

US offers to sell Ukraine 20 A-10's, fully armed and ready to be "delivered" by US Airforce Pilots. Ukraine announces it has agreed to buy the A-10's, but.....before consumating the deal needs to see a demonstration/test drive that they all are in working order. The A-10's all get Ukraine Flags painted on the tail. Ukraine flys 20 pilots in to US (Or 20 US "Aircraft transport specialists" in Ukrainian Air Force Jackets) deliver the aircraft for sale to Ukraine, and conduct a demonstration before Ukraine completes the deal by submitting an international check for $.01.

A-10's concerntrate the demonstration flight on the front 200 vehciles in the convoy. The aircraft are delivered to the Ukrainians, who then take out the last 200 vehicles in the column bottling up the whole convoy. The center of the Convoy now becomes a target rich environmnet for any "Ukrainian infantryman with a grenade launcher, or RPG, or Molotov cocktail"

Only 7 A-10's have every been shot down. Not a match for fighter aircraft in a dog fight. Armor portection, extreme manueverability, and Tub pilot sits in along with flares and chaff make them capable of dealing with most surface to air stuff. Not all.
