i've never seen so many tests of the emergency broadcast system.
it was on every tv station this morning and even on the radio.
caused me to miss a john boy and billy joke.

I was watching our neighbors build bomb shelters in the basements. The guy was a Sea Bee during WWII and owned a construction company. He used concrete blocks to build a room in the NE corner of his basement. No ventilation system that I could see. Not sure how he expected to get uncontaminated water. Back then we didn't have city water and we were all using well water and had septic systems in the yards. Wash water ran out of the back yard into a farm field ditch and was full of sewer worms. They said it was wash water but it was full of septic tank water which flowed down hill to the very back of the yard. But the fact is we were all scared of nuclear war with Russia. We didn't have hypersonic weapons or cruise missiles back then. They had prop plane bombers that were slow but still could be shot down. I'm not even sure if we have SAM missiles then. Things were a lot different than today.

And those that would survive won't have much to come out of the Shelters for. The earth would be scorched, and no crops would be safe to eat if all nuclear wars were to happen today

Unless Putin has had covid and is brain damaged we don't need to worry about him using nukes. He is not that **** stupid. Biden is allowing Putin to bluff and get by with attacking Ukraine. But then again it would be like us annexing Texas and Russian coming to the Mexicans to help.

What should we do to stop Russia from Invading Ukraine? We are giving Ukraine Stinger missiles and Javelin Anti-Tank Weapons and Poland may give them some old Soviet Style Fighter Jets, Putin put the fear of God into Poland though.
