I was just joking about building a bomb shelter. At my age I don't want to live in a post nuclear war world. So I'll probably join in on the party and get drunk before the fireworks go off.

When I was a kid in grammar school, they had us hide under our desks in the classroom. There were glass windows all along the wall and we were not any safer under the desk than sitting in our chairs. But we didn't have a basement to go to back then.
I remember those school days well. Also Nov 63 when every room got a TV and we watched the reports of Kennedy’s death. And before that Cuban Missiles brought those exercise you noted.

Ya know a lot of parallels to then and now. But I think just like then, we will make it.
