    Comparing

    Dear Mr Biden,

By the time Thunder over Louisville is over, your Armed Forces will have flown more missions in support of Kentucky, than Ukraine. The difference is the only shelling occurring in KY is celebratory fireworks.

    I somewhat agree.

We all sit here and say prayers for Ukraine but are not willing to send in the troops to push the Russians back. Russia just invaded the northern parts of Japan and we did nothing to stop them.

If the US and Britian and France and others had went to war against Hitler sooner he would have never been able to take over most of Western Europe.

We sat on our ass while Putin invaded Crimea and took it over back in 2014. And Obama did nothing to stop him. It's like if the USA invaded Mexico and Russia took Mexico's side. Russia took Vietnams side and they took the side of the Afgans too. They even paid the Taliban to shoot or kill Americans in Afghanistan. And we did nothing. Iran shot missiles are our troops in Iraq and we sat by and did nothing.

We should NOT be flying any missions over Ukraine........IMHO.

Now, if NATO wants our support, that is fine, but we do NOT need to be doing anything as the "lead".

They sat and did nothing with Hitler invaded the Rhineland that was taken from Germany at the end of WWI. They sat and did nothing with Hitler invaded Austria. They sat and did nothing with Hitler invaded the Czechoslovakia.

History has a way of repeating itself Mr. Chamberland.

Today the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense in the USA said that the Biden administration intends to make sure that Russia is weakened so that they can't rearm. How they intend to do that I'll have to wait and see.

    In case you all forget:

Here is a refresher course in the events leading up to WWII.

Putin ain't Hitler....this is not your Grand Pappy's war in Europe.

The REST of the area Putin "might" want is either in NATO or will BE IN NATO sooner than later.

Nope, Putin is getting what he wanted, and it is costing him a **** TON.

I'm saying that he is acting just as Hitler did at the very beginning of WWII. Did you look at the maps and go though the progression on how Hitler invaded the different countries over a period of years. That is what Putin is doing. Putin has invaded Georgia and has Russian Troops in Moldavia and Ukraine as well as Bulgaria. Putin is threatening nuclear war now. Hitler would have used nukes if he had them.

I wish that everyone reading this thread would go though the maps in the link in my last post and move through the timeline Starting in 1936 When Germany sent troops into the Rhineland and then click the NEXT button to see how the WAR in EUROPE progressed. It was not until Germany invaded Poland that Britian and France declared war on Germany. And the US didn't declare war on Germany until after Pearl Harbor. Abd don't forget the Aliance that Germany had with Italy and Japan as well at Russia. Remember that Russia also invaded Poland.

My Point is that you can't ignore wars in Europe. And the sooner you stop people like Hitler the better in the long run. Give people like Hitler and Putin an inch and they will take a mile.

Putin took Georgia nearly 20 years ago. Putin took Crimea nearly 10 years ago........

I have not found anything about Bulgaria......Belarus maybe, but not Bulgaria. The troops in Moldavia have been there since about 1990 or so......as "Peacekeepers".

This ain't Hitler. I get what you're saying but pushing "the sky is falling narrative" is wrong, IMHO.

I do believe Putin is DONE, depending if NATO has the actual balls to draw that line in the sand. I believe Putin is also not an idiot. He knows a tactical nuke will bring UTTER destruction to Russia and potentially the world.

I"m not saying Putin is not dangerous, he is......but he is NOT on par with Hitler.

And I have studied WWII. A whole hell of a lot.

    WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!
    why yes...yes we did !
    It's called the "Budapest Memorandum".
And it is a BIG read, and I will tell you up front I am not smart enough to understand a lot of it.
But people who are say we are obligated to offer Ukraine protection. Now there is also some disagreement about the term protection. Some say we are already providing assistance by sending military hardware.
I am not comfortable with the US having boots on the ground, that always seems to end up biting us in the ass. Not to mention the families here of lost loved military members.
Buy I say help them any other way we can. WE ARE OBLIGATED, WE MADE A DEAL

We are proposing to give Ukraine 33 billion dollars in assistance. Do you support such aid to Ukraine to stop Russia?

I support America fulfilling its obligations and preserving our honor (or what little we have left).
I'm not in a position to accurately tell you what that price tag is.
I'm saying if we don't back what we say we will lose another friendly.
What's the price tag on that one?
