WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!
why yes...yes we did !
It's called the "Budapest Memorandum".
And it is a BIG read, and I will tell you up front I am not smart enough to understand a lot of it.
But people who are say we are obligated to offer Ukraine protection. Now there is also some disagreement about the term protection. Some say we are already providing assistance by sending military hardware.
I am not comfortable with the US having boots on the ground, that always seems to end up biting us in the ass. Not to mention the families here of lost loved military members.
Buy I say help them any other way we can. WE ARE OBLIGATED, WE MADE A DEAL

I support America fulfilling its obligations and preserving our honor (or what little we have left).
I'm not in a position to accurately tell you what that price tag is.
I'm saying if we don't back what we say we will lose another friendly.
What's the price tag on that one?
Just as Hitler took German to a totalitarian State back in the 1930's so has Putin in Russia.

I'm not the only one thinking this is the case.
I’m with you. No boots on the ground, just our “ support” in the form of ammunition and laser guided bombs that we provide free A10 and F22 air delivery directly to the Russian consumer in the name of Ukraine. In this case we would not eliminate the middle man, we eliminate the Russian Army consumers demand 😂I support America fulfilling its obligations and preserving our honor (or what little we have left).

Evidently Ukraine has some of it's own ballistic Missiles that they are using to take out Russian Oil storage facilities and trains.I’m with you. Take that you Russian fools.
Depends on how much we budget in years to come. 33 billion and done versus 33 billion a year for 10 years.
Just depends. I believe, IMHO that every european country, who is afraid of Putin and what Putin wants should be matching America dollar for dollar.
I don't mean they all have to pony that **** up, but the EU should collectively be paying 33 billion or more for THEIR protection.
It will never happen though.

I agree that the other European countries in NATO should pay a fair share to defend themselves. We benefit from a stable Europe/World.Depends on how much we budget in years to come. 33 billion and done versus 33 billion a year for 10 years.

I just read where the Russia's are stealing Wheat from the occupied areas of Ukraine and shipping it back to Russia and Crimea and then trying to sell it. Other countries like Egypt are refusing to buy the wheat. The ship carrying the grain turned off its transponder, but it was tracked by satellite. It ended up in Syria where Russia offloaded the grain onto another ship in order to Deguise where the grain came from so that they can sell it. Ukraine grows about one-fifth of the Wheat that is exported to the world, so the price of Wheat is going up and up. That means bread prices are going up at the grocery stores in the USA.
I wish that Ukraine has attack submarines and could shut down the Russia ports in Crimea. Russia is blockading the Southern Coast of Ukraine so they can't ship their grain out and make money and feed the world. We should bust that blockade IMHO So of like when we setup a blockade of Cuba which is only 80 miles off the coast of Florida USA. Whereas Ukraine is thousands of miles away from Florida and right in Russia's back yard. Russia owns the black sea now. Where does Turkey stand on the Bosporus straights and the war that Russia started against Ukraine. Russia should not be allowed through the straights carrying stolen grain from Ukraine. Turkey is part of NATO but is not acting like that.
Good point. Do you have any info on how much of the Ukraine grain was being exported to Russia?I agree that the other European countries in NATO should pay a fair share to defend themselves. We benefit from a stable Europe/World.

I can't remember where I read that at. Either on CNN's web site of the Flip Board article on my smartphone. Samsung Android Note 4 came with the Flipboard app on the phone automatically. I had this phone for at least 2 or 3 years before I started reading the articles on the Flip Board Briefing Screen.
You should be able to google this grain stealing deal on the internet and read about it. There were convoys of trucks hauling stolen grain out of Ukraine into Crimea. And the license plate were from Crimea Russia. BTW Russia stole Crimea from Ukraine too.
I also read the G7 people including Germany wanted to free Ukraine's Odesa city from the Russian Naval Blockade so that Ukraine could ship its grain to the world. I don't know how that could be done without a war against Russia.
I copied this directly from the CNN Web Site:

G7 foreign ministers will discuss how to end Ukrainian grain blockade during meeting in Germany
From CNN’s Nadine Schmidt in Berlin
The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven nations will discuss how to end a blockade of Ukrainian grain so it can be exported to the world, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Thursday, as the meeting kicks off at the Baltic Sea resort of Weissenhaus, northeast of the German city of Hamburg.
''There are 25 millions of grain currently blocked in the Ukrainian port of Odesa, which means food for millions of people in the world that is urgently needed, above all in African countries and the Middle East,” Baerbock told reporters.
Ukraine is one of the world's largest grain-producing countries.
The UN has called to reopen the Odesa port in southern Ukraine to help ease a global food crisis. CNN has also reported that Russian forces are stealing thousands of tons of grain from Ukrainian farmers, as well as targeting food storage sites with artillery, according to multiple sources.
The German foreign minister on Thursday welcomed top diplomats of the G7 nations for a three-day meeting, which will focus on the war in Ukraine, energy and food security, relationship with China and climate change.
Baerbock also welcomed her Ukrainian and Moldovan counterparts, Dmytro Kuleba and Nicu Popescu, who are attending the meeting as guests.
Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, whose country chairs the Group of 20 major economies (G20) this year, is also participating in the meeting but remotely.
