They found the documents in his house! They took out 15 boxes last year or early this year and then were told by one of Trump's lawyers that there were no more classified documents at Mar-A-largo. They lied. Then the FBI searched Trumps house and found 35 more boxes of documents that were illegally taken out of the White House by trump. Just being in possession of these documents is against the law. Take the documents out of the White house after you are no longer the POTUS is a crime.
There are other sections of title 18. And I'm sure that Merick Garland AG is smarter than you. If he says that Trump is being investigate for violations of the Espionage act, I will take his word over yours any day. Give it time for indictments to be given and the parts of Article 18 will be explained to even a guy like you.

Notably, 18 USC 793 is part of the Espionage Act, which legal experts had suggested over the past couple of days Trump could allegedly have violated.
Federal law 18 USC 2071 carries a penalty of a fine or imprisonment for up to three years, or both. Meanwhile, 18 USC 1519 can result in a fine or imprisonment for up to 20 years, or both, and 18 USC 793 can lead to imprisonment for up to 10 years and/or a fine. Combined, the three alleged violations could result in 33 years in prison.
