i wonder if this is the right thing to do.
if you let your kid lay on their butt and give them everything they want, they'll never make an effort.
i'll help anybody that's down on their luck but they must be willing to work to support themselves.
all these give away programs from the government, churches, etc. are just like giving more dope to a dope head.
half the country is living on handouts and don't try to help themselves.
my sister was treasurer for large church and they gave away over 1 million dollars every year.
she said it was the same people lined up every monday and most didn't attend church there.
some are too stupid to help themselves but some are just plain lazy and we know who these freeloaders vote for.
it's sickening so many don't have enough gumption to support themselves and all they have to do is vote for corrupt politicians.
i pity my grandchildren.

you became jaded because you were poor.

I became more empathetic.

I make very good money now but I’ve also been homeless while working 90 hour weeks because I couldn’t afford the first and last for getting an apartment.

I will always give a dollar to anyone panhandling, go buy a chic sandwich for a guy who has a starving vet sign and bring it to him.
because I can and I learned money doesn’t make happiness, the happiest moments I have are when we as a family went and made a big supper from what was around.

There was a fork in the road and you went down the “no one helped me out so why should I ever help anyone else out” route.

what a shame
