In the cesspool that is Washington DC, our 'leaders' are too busy with money, politics, and power to do right things. The President of the United States recently gave a mumbling speech and asked a congresswoman who was killed in August to speak up. Long as Americans vote with the media and their emotions instead of the actual actions politicians take this is what we'll get.

Cooperation between the parties for the good of the country is long gone, a moderate of any stripe has no chance for election to any high office. Same with a Libertarian. Dimocrats and Republicans have a stranglehold on America, and all they're truly working on is getting rich, and getting re-elected.

The country is gravitating toward Socialism, with the media and most people looking to the government to take care of us all. Has been for a long time. Unless we wake up and vote to reign in federal power, things will not get better.

what's scary is a majority of voters are willing to give up their freedom with the false hope of government taking care of them.
i understand why politicians want to control everybody, but why is the media willing to support them?
i think many people have compromised their integrity just to be part of the deep state.
why would they do that?
have citizens given up on the American dream of financial independence or are they so insecure they need to be part of a club? that would be a miserable life for me.

Just glancing at your list, yes a good healthy percentage of it should be gone. Quite a bit on there that is local/state which we have a lot more control over, not the fed's responsibility. I don't advocate eliminating the government, just fixing it. It has grown into something it was never intended to be, and thru voters such as yourself it will continue to grow.
