I was not feeling very well and almost went to the ER but the heart failure group at Deaconess Heart Hospital changed some of my medicines and I got better. I dropped about 20 lbs over the last two weeks. I had trouble breathing when sitting in my chair and was up all night long one night as I could not breathe right. The next day I felt better and was able to fall asleep in my lazy boy chair. They put me on a extra diuretic. Now I take two of them. One day they asked me to take three of them. Each time I take one I have to also take 30 meq of Potassium.
I just didn't feel like getting on the computer this past week. Today was the first day back on my computer. I've been upstairs watching TV and staying in the lazy boy.
I was doing all that I could to avoid going back to the ER and hospital. All they do there is stick you with needles to draw blood work.

I took her a few years ago on a Cabin Trip to the Boundary Waters with our families. At the end of the trip, we were taking about how cool it was, and how she really wanted to spend time in the Park, like I always do........
Enough said........I told her I sent all my gear up , and her and my daughter and I were headed into the park the next day.....WE spent a week in a Cabin, and then my wife and eldest daughter went home with her family, and my god daughter, youngest daughter and I spent the next week in Gods Country.
It's the first trip I had done up there where I left the fishing gear in camp most of the time.
She was just graduating high school at the time and trying to figure out what she wanted to do in life. I think I helped her pick nursing, and Deaconess was the next step, as she lived there in evansville.......
God speed. I hope you get to feeling better.
The board is not the same without you going head to head with us right wingers.![]()

I see a lot of the nurses or talk to them on the phone on a regular daily basis. It's a small world. They have a lot of nurses working there. They do an excellent job of taking care of their patients. They have a heart failure group that I am working with to lose water weight so I can breathe better. They tell me that I have fluid backing up into my lungs which makes it harder to breathe.I have someone near and dear to me that works at Deaconess in the Heart Unit.......God Daughter.

Last Friday they ordered just one diuretic pill from the pharmacy, but the pharmacy didn't deliver that pill to me until today, Tue. I'll start taking it tomorrow morning and will be running to the bathroom all day long for about two days. The last time I took that pill I lost 14 lbs. of water in two days. But it all came back. My kidneys are now working right, and I can't get rid of the excess fluid for some reason. I am scheduled to see a kidney doctor in a few weeks, but they are so busy it's hard to get an appointment with them.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure you enjoy time with the family and friends.
Hang in there man, and best regards for continuing improvement. If it helps your spirits, you can call me an idiot 23 times, say I'm stupid 15 times, and call me dumbass 12 times. Repeat as necessary. Last time the Er took blood from me they said I was down a quart and wanted to add 10W30, and stick a new fliter up my backside. I refused violently.....I only use 10w40!!!!I was not feeling very well and almost went to the ER but the heart failure group at Deaconess Heart Hospital changed some of my medicines and I got better.
