After fighting hip pain for three years and undergoing hip surgery in November, I’m ready to get back to fishing. Problem is, it’s winter haha.
I want to try to catch a day when it isn’t completely freezing, and fish lake Nolin or rough river lake.
What kind of tips can you give me for fishing those lakes in January-March? Lures to throw, places to target, etc?
If anyone wants to try it with me, let me know!
I suggest slow rolling a Alabama rig on points and bluffs. The better ones have irregular features. I also prefer ones with a bank that's not necessarily steep but has depth to it that easily allows them to move up/down the water column with little movement.
