BASS PRO SHOP REEL AND ROD

Hello, anybody have any experience with the BPS Extreme line of rod and reel. Am told they are made by Pflueger.

I have one and it's a decent rod. However, I do NOT like Bass Pro's warranty. It is only a one-year warranty. The Extreme rods run about $100.00, which is a decent chunk of change for a bass rod.

For the same money, you can get a Shimano Compre, which in my opinion is a much higher quality rod. And the Shimano comes with a lifetime warranty.

I have several of the rods and they are great, for the most part. I would not recommend the two piece rods as I have broken several at the joint. In every case they were 6 1/2 ft medium light spinning rods and they are not strong at the joint. They were all replaced by warranty, but I won't buy them again. I have three 1 piece rods ranging from medium light to medum heavy in the 6 1/2 ft, 6'9" and 7 ft and they are all great. I don't have any experience with their reels. Good luck.
