When one gets off during the fight just say "I LDR'd that one boys". They will ask what in the heck is LDR'd, Long Distance Released.
To really put the needle to them, get a T Shirt monogrammed with the words "Masterbasser Personal Netboy" across the chest and back and hand it to your buddy with a pair of leather work gloves then tell him the shirt is self explanitory and the gloves will prevent the blisters from handling the net all day long.

elnuts: I like the LDR thing too, definitely going to remember that one when one gets off, but the shirt and gloves deal is a real hoot. I would pull that one on my partner at our next night tourney but I am afraid I might take a night swim unexpectabaly after dark when we get out on the water. LOL
It seems like I have my personal NETBOY, when I go with my best friend, (Sorry Hens). His job is to land the fish and take the photo opportunity's. I have yet to get him the shirt but we are fishing a tourney together this weekend so I hope he plays the role often this weekend. The sad part, or maybe not, is that I would just as much rather see him catch one than me for he does not get to fish that much. I have no problem playing NETBOY in my boat for at least somebody is catching fish. I will give him props, he landed several nice smallies this winter at Dale and all that practice has paid off.

Personal netboy! lol.
Show your generosity. At your next club tourney, take a bunch of bananas along, and put one in each boat so the boaters will have a little something to chow down on when they get hungry.
This will IMPRESS them like you won't believe.

I am not actually trying to impress anyone, it is more of a joke. But thanks to everyone here who taught me some southern fishing terms.
Hey dude, glad it was mostly a joke, then maybe you can appreciate my banana suggestion...LOL
I'm dumb enough that I would fall for it... really!
I believe in having fun... if not fun, I don't want to continue doing it.
Hope to see you on the water some time.
Danny
No problem. I know it was all in fun.
Danny...Ugh, I hope you are kidding about the bananas. Most fisherman think this is a omen when it comes to catching fish by having one of them in the boat with them. It will definitely impress them alright, maybe enough to ask you to not fish in any tourneys with them anymore after the end results at the weighin...283
I keep bananas in my boat. I have no problem with it whatsoever. They are a quick fix for hunger and you get the energy from a "nanner" in as little as twenty minutes.
Yes, I was kidding. I was counting on someone else to prevent the young man from doing that. But it would have been funny!!!
LOL
It would have taught him the word "skunk" though... I'm really familiar with that one myself. It means not catching a keeper.
