I took photojournalist Zach Matthews on a Striper trip this Sat in search of Striper on the fly. We caught almost every species of fish in the river including one 10" Striper. The big Striper eluded us all day but Zach would not give up. He stood on the casting deck and threw a 425 grain sinking line on a 13 wt fly rod all day. I on the other hand broke out the Skipjack rods and was able get a 22 and a 24 pound Striper to the boat.
In all we worked our butts off and Zach still has not caught a Striper on the fly. He has however broken the no Striper curse since he landed the 22 pounder.

Zach is one heck of a Photographer and I'll post some of the photo's he took from this trip soon.
