It seems the crappie are on now. I got three fat slabs two 15" and a 16" off one sunken brush pile this evening right before dark. They were at the mouth of a small cove within 30 feet of the Riley Creek channel. The brush pile was in 14 feet of water and they were right in it, not suspended over the top. I wish I could go again tomorrow night but I have a business meeting that will keep me away until 11:00. I would think tomorrow evening and Wednesday morning will be good fishing. I don't know what that cold front will do but I have a good guess. The high here is supposed to be 56 Friday and get down to 35 Friday night. Good luck. BTW I was using a a 1/16" oz. chartreuse jig head with a #2 green body grub with an orange tail. I just throw it out, let it settle to the bottom and crank it in as s-l-o-w as possible. My favorite color. They also like what I call a "shrimp" color because it's the same color as cold-boiled shrimp - kind of a cross between pink and orange.
