Paris Landing closed

I heard this morning that the boat ramp will be closed for the next few weeks. See below

You heard correctly. They've got a trackhoe over there tearing the ramp to shreds. Apparently they're going to shallow out the angle into the water, and extend it further out into the marina to handle low water conditions. I keep suggesting to park maintenance (I work there but in golf course maintenance) that they blow up that worthless courtesy dock at the ramp and put in a new one at least twice the size of what's there now. So far, all I get is "Well, we'd have to get permission from Nashville to do that". So?????? GET PERMISSION!!!

Yeah, that dock is worthless. I can say that with the high winds on saturday and the ramp being closed, the lake was dead both sat and sun. Too bad for the guys that didn't go out. the fishing was great.
