    Blue River Smallies

Where would be a good accessible spot to go and try to catch smallies on the Blue River?

Try this web site. They rent canoes and have a generic map showing most of the public access sites. I would not try fishing below Stage Stop camp ground. The smallies don't show up much below there. Most of the best smallie water seems to be above the I-64 bridge outside of Corydon. Good luck.

    Thanks,
I went there this weekend and caught some. Went to stage stop, blue river chapel, and rothrock. I did the best at stage stop. DNR might change the slot to 10 inches there also to try and decrease the numbers for smaller fish.

Glad you had a good trip. It has seemed there are more small fish the last few years, but I don't go very often.
