New Indiana Lake Permit Requirements

Well even if you launch at Walls or Osborn or any of the other launch ramps you are still responsible for paying to launch your boat. The CO's enforce this rule. If they see your truck and trailer parked in a lot without the proper stickers they will issue a ticket. You will have to appear in Orange County Court or pay a fine though the mail.

With the new permit Lake Permit it may cover all these costs. As long as you have it on your boat. humm that makes me wonder how they are going to know if you have a permit by looking at your vehicle in the parking lots. My understanding is that the Lake Permit is suppose to be put on the bow of the boat somewhere. I don't rmember reading about putting a sticker on your vehicle. I guess the CO's on the water will have to enforce this rule or else they will have to watch for you to come back to the ramp and check your boat then.

I guess that some of the kinks will have to beo worked out.

They had to have a drop box to enforce that rule under the old set-up. If they didn't have a place to put the money they couldn't ticket you.
You are right, under the new law the CO gets you on the lake if you don't have the sticker. They don't care if you launched from the ramp or over the side of the bank.

They make you pay 3 bucks to park your rig.

The way I see it is they will no longer go to the ramps to check trailers because you put the sticker on the boat. But, I bet you will still see them at Cutright in the mornings of tournaments to sell one to anyone who does not have one. It looks like they might be on the water a little more in the next few years... I buy one every year anyway, for those that are "too busy" to fish, maybe if you buy one you will find more time to fish..... That's how I look at it....
