    Iaconelli DQ'd In Classic again

Well, Mike Iaconelli was disqualified again in the Bassmaster Classic.

He forgot to turn his live well timers on and his fish died. He culled a dead fish then kicked his navigation safety light pole and cussed it out.

Toyota just announced the day before that he was on their 2006 Pro Team.

What a way to start the new season out.

He may be the first angler ever to be disqualified in the Bassmaster Classic twice.

RE: Iaconelli DQ'd In Classic again

I work in a public school, on given days I teach fishing to the kids. (I Only take about 30 min. of the class so don't go crazy about the public education system),,,,, BUT,,,, I used the Jan. Bassmaster Mag. to talk about "Ike" to all the kids in my class.

On the cover it showed "IKE" (standing on his motor), as he cranked in a bass. (I thought Goofy worked in Disneyland, his replacement was seen around the world, acting a fool)

Bassmaster,,,, How does that photo relate "safety", care of your gear, or HOT DOGING to young fishermen.?

I'm 57 years old,,,, I don't respect what "IKE" does in the boat. Dancing, Yelling, acting a "fool" with a caught fish.

He is sending the wrong image to our young fishermen and women.
I'm just one guy, but I always fast fwd. my VCR when he comes on TV I don't even know who his sponcers are, he can't be good for them, He is hurting our image as sportsmen and women.

Hi all , here is my 2 cents on the whole thing . Ike , Skeet Reese , Swindle , Charlie Moore , Bryan Velneck {?} , and all the other showboat WWF wanna be's can fish a tourney in the Bremuda Triangle and dissaper ! That would be awesome . Fishing shows with Larry Nixon , Denny Brauer , Woo Davis , Hank Parker , all the old classy fishing pro's . The current bunch stinks . Charlie Moore is what gets me . How did he get a show ? He is a nobody and smartarse to boot . Id like to beat him with a 9 iron . Even Bassmaster Magazine##### anymore , all they do is push products in their article , hardly any useful info anymore . I read Ikes book , its self promo . me me me . The guy plain and simple is jerk . He needs to be banned from pro fishing . Period . If enough people got together at tournys he was fishing and boo'ed him off the stage maybe he would get the hint and go back to work at Dicks . Anyway I plan on getting the outdoors network , forget the ESPN circus and all its clowns . Lets all hope the crappie start biteing soon !

The worst part of the classic was when out of all the guys who were in the last day, ESPN has the nerve to bring Skeet Reese up on live TV to the weigh-in when he does not even have a fish!

That was totally dis-respectful of all the other anglers who were in it, that were never interviewed either live or on tape. They didn't even give Luke Clausen the time he deserved because he is an FLW guy. Larry Nixon didn't get on either, another FLW guy. I guess that is why so many are going over to the FLW.

Denny Brauer said it best why talk about him thats what he wants let him flame out. There are too many great young fisherman out there to let this clown be the spokesman for young folks.

Yeah, what about his pathetic attempt to endorsed that Moutain Dew Code Red while walking up to the stage on day 1? did he think he was at the Winner Cirle at the track or something? Oh well, what can you expect from a guy from Jersey? It not like he a fisherman from Arkansas or Alabama or something.

The guy is a complete idiot. I always thought he was a little wacky when he first came on the scene. And I think ESPN encouraged himto act like an idiot for tv. After he destroyed that light pole, WITH THE AMERICAN FLAG ON IT, NOTHING ELSE TO SAY, COMPLETE STUPIDITY, WHAT A DUMB ARSE//////////////////

He's gettin slammed on every fishing website you can think of and rightly so,he's an arrogant little a$$ thats makes us all look bad.

Why would espn show him throwing back a dead fish, just to create controversy? That was a really poor decision on their part and i'm sure they'll hear about it.

I believe they don't need to hide such things. I bet it happens in every tournament.

It may actually be against the law in Florida, to not harvest a dead gamefish. It apparently is not against the BASS tournament rules, which I find to be inconsistent with sportsmanship.

He definetely needs to take a step back and look at his behavior in the boat. You have to take the good with the bad.
