I'm not for sure if I am supposed to do this or not but I saved a copy on my computer just in case something happens.

I spoke to some one at the DNR about my 05 and they told me it would be the discression of the C.O. I had lost my 05 and they faxed me a copy to get me through till April 1. It's a screwed up system, hope they straighten it out soon.

What are you guys still worrying about?
They said to me either license will get you by until April 1, and they have informed all of the CO's of the issue, so just put your license in your pocket and go fishing.
They are not going to write a ticket if you have either license.
What wondering is why they ever started, for the purpoe of a fishing license, making a year something besides January through December 31. would it not make more sense that if you were fishing and the calander said it was 2007 and your license said 2007, your were covered, but if either one of those were off, you get a ticket? Only a government agency could come up with a fishing sepcific year defination.
Sort of like this whole time zone thing. I've decided that the way I'm going to deal with the time change is that if I stay up on the third time I have to get up to go pee, instead of the fourth time, and then multiply the difference in minutes by the square root of the average amount of oxygen that can be held on one acre with a four strand barbed wire fence, and then divide that total by the inverse of the number of cars that pass by the one stoplight in town in an hour, I come to the conclusion that I probably should have voted for the Libertarian candidate to start with. On the other hand I also now know why our elected officials won’t give us the time of day. They don’t know what it is. I'm going to just buy a rooster and throw the alarm clock away.
You are right. Absolutely amazing that the governor would prioritize the standardization of Indiana time zones.
It used to be confusing just for people in Illinois who worked in Indiana at our plant. I always told them when they complained to move to Indiana.
Now it is just as confusing, I still don't know what the final say is. Vigo county wants to stay on Indy time, and Vermillion wants to stay with Illinois. I can't figure out why the whole state just doesn't stay with Indy.
Indiana is not that big a state for it to be an issue, we are not Texas or Alaska for gods sake.
Now I suppose our fishing license will go April to April. It doesn't make much sense.
Mike,
I'm not real certain, but the dates on the fishing license was the same as the dates on the annual hunting license. There are some hunting seasons that extended to Feb 28, now March into the new year. If someone got the combo hunting/fishing licnese, the expiration would have to be the same. So someone who gets the combo would have the same expiration as the person who just has the fishing.
