    Patoka

Does anyone know that the lake is looking like now? I'm sure it's still up to hold water and let the rivers/creeks recede, but is it still as muddy? Anyone know the water temp?

I will be there tomorrow. The water is still up and the temps are in the high 40's low 50's. I am sure there are still some muddy areas. I will report back tomorrow afternoon.

Called Patoka Lake Marina today. Water is still up above summer pool and the DNR has no plans to lower it till mid April. Most of lake has cloudy water and temps are in the high 40's to low 50's. I will report when I return tomorrow night.

Thanks, I'll be up there sometime this weekend but would like to know ahead of time what the temps are on the main lake and if the water is still muddy or has debris floating in it. I read another report on here that said big debris was floating just below the surface and you couldn't even run full speed. I'm hoping that's not the case when I get there.

Launched from Newton Stewart South at 10am. Water stained and about 46 degrees. Fished Fleming Creek, water stained and still 46 degrees. Fished the mouth of the Patoka River, water almost muddy and 45 degrees. There is a definate muddy water line coming from the river and going down the main lake towards the dam. The Sycamore Creek area was also muddy and water was 44-45 degrees. Threw lipless crank baits, crankbaits, jigs and slow rolled spiner baits wil no catches anywhere. The water is still up about 3 ft above summer pool but the was not much debris in the areas that I was in. The air temps never got above 39 degrees. Left the water at 4pm with no bites. Hope this helps you some.

Some of the stumps that would normally be visable are under the surface right now. If you are familar with the lake you know where most of these are located. I ran full speed and did not hit anything.
