You would be better off going to Barren River Lake in Kentucky. I had a club tournament Sunday and my partner and I had about 18 pounds before 9:00am. In the club it is individual as well and my partner had 5 keepers before 9 @ 16 pounds. He ended up culling 10. That's 15 keepers for just him!! I only had 2 but was 6.33 pounds. I had a lot more that weren't keepers.:9

I will also be going to Hardy on Friday, but only because live 15 minutes from there. Anyway I've heard that Hardy has really turned on recently. I haven't had a chance to fish there much, but would say head to the upper end around the timber and fish that area.

I only live about 3 minutes from Hardy but don't bass fish it that much. I have read I believe in Indiana Game and Fish that Hardy was rated as one of the best small lakes for bass in the state. I do know I few guys that fish tournaments there that they are saying that the weight to win has been going up and there has been a few 5 and 6 pounders caught.

I would save gas and fish a lake closer to home. Surely there are local lakes that will offer the same quality and quanity of fish that Hardy has to offer. I have fished Hardy for 20 years and have found it is full of 12 inch bass and small crappie, but definetly not worth that kind of drive. I would put an extra 20 bucks in the tank and leave an hour earlier and head to Patoka. Just my two cents worth. Good Luck !
