Hi, Guys. You know the carp were mostly brought here by our forefathers! They thought carp were the best fish arround. Looks like they should have developed a taste for salmon, trout, walleye, or panfish. It's hard to believe that there are still bone heads selling anything but "Fathead minnows". They never get over 3" and are easy to grow here. Clear creek in Martinsville raises them for $6.50 a pound. I don't know that carp are really a problem for LM anywhere. They can muddy shallow area's. And they are real hard fighters that are not as easy to catch. Now those large shad really overpopulate bad without large preditor fish.
