    RE: Chatterbaits

Dicks have done it to themselves. The first few times I went in after they did the full change over their reply to every question was "this isn't galyans" finally after about the fifth time of hearing that my reply was "its because your DICKS right?" I would rather pay the prices at the sportsman that purchase stuff from them.

If you are looking for them the Avon and the Plainfield stores have them, by boating partner picked some up just tonight.

    RE: Chatterbaits

    Hi guys ,
Dicks in Evansville gets the Chatters in every now and then - I do a ebay store so I call Dicks every day to see . I have gotten some in some to sell and use and can say they do work ! I hate to be greedy but Dicks did have a 10 bait limit so thats what I got . I sell them for $16.99 and have sold a few . If I was the Rad company I would sub-contract the build because making people wait with such a demand is insane , they could be making a ton of money . Look at old Bill Dance's Dancing Eel , Dancing Craw , the Flying lure , Berkleys power worms . I had some on backorder for 2 months and finally cancelled after Dicks got them in . My name on ebay is Merlin5 and I will give anybody a $2.00 discount from fishing.com in IN if you want .

MarkW from the KY board is also doing this same thing. I don't remember his exact price, but I don't think it was that high.

As an FYI, Rad lures did enter into an agreement with Renosky lures to help with the production and distribution. From what I remember, the article said there would be two basic national retail distributors, one of which was speculated to be Wal Mart.

So, I'll wait ........ if Wal Mart is one of the retailers, I know the price will be less.

    PS... additional information

Actually, Mark has a link to his store, and he says he has sold them from 12.99 to 19.99... so not sure why the differences unless it is from the bidding process.

For a look at the thread, where he does a nice job defending his, and this poster's right to buy more than they need, and then sell them higher then regular cost.... here's the link:

Scroll down to response 11. This is where he defends the selling for higher than regular price. Makes sense to me.

Viper, What kind of trailer are you using? Is it the standard split tail plastic trailer or have you tried any of the zoom chunks with it?

    RE: Chatterbaits

Triton,i've been using the split tail that comes with it and i've been using a gamakatsu g lock trailer for the short strikers.Still catchin plenty of fish on them, mainly on the 3/8 oz white one.My partner's been throwin the black a little but not gettin half the hits as the white one.Have you done well using the zoom trailer,i've never tried that.

No I haven't used the zoom trailers, I use them when swimming a jig but haven't tried them with the blade on there. Haven't really used the chatterbait that much but the water is getting dirty and thought the vibration that thing puts off might help out.

Save your money to buy Lucky Craft baits. They will outfish anything else you can buy.

FYI,as of 9:30 last night, bass pro shop in clarksville had 6 gambler swimblades left,3/8 oz gold blade, black head and trailer, silver and black skirts. They are not out on the shelves, you have to go to the counter where the reels are and ask for them, they keep them behind the counter.Just thought i'd let you guys know in case you were lookin for them,i picked up a couple more myself.
