I just bought my first Chatterbait this weekend. They're still going for high prices on Ebay. Has anyone been fishing with these so far this spring?
Dicks has the 1/4 oz Chatterbaits on the shelf for 5.99
chatterbait.com 6.95 all day long
I placed an order with Rad Lures (Chatterbait.com) on Feb 16th.
As of today they're giving me a June 1st delivery date. If it holds that will be 15 weeks. They've got a huge back order.
I got mine in 3 weeks from Rad. I was at Dicks in Plainfield last night and the had a ton of them. and they were three dollars cheaper and no shipping!!!!!!!!!!
I bought three of them off the shelf at Dicks last week. Fished the Top Eight at Patoka last weekend and tried them. Didn't get a nibble on them. I'm not impressed. Maybe a little later in the year they will work better........
Not impressed huh?!?Maybe you just need to put it in front of the fish.I've caught well over a hundred bass of all sizes on mine in the past month and so have other guys i know.
Oh, well, excuse me. Maybe I just didn't know what I was doing. You sound like a stockholder.......
Now what Dicks has them? I went to the East Washington St. store 5-3-06 and he didn't have any. He acted like he knew everything about them but when I asked him what shelf they put them on and he couldn't tell me.. He said they sell out before they can put them out. I find that very hard to believe...... I will call the Plainfield store to see if they have any. I was looking on the east side of Indy though....
Hey Bassman, it's true (LOL). I swung by the Dick's on W. 86th over lunch yesterday browsing around. Saw a sign for them but no baits. Asked the clerk and he said they got a shipment of 90 of them in about 4 days ago and sold them all before the store closed that same day. They're still going for between $12-$20 a piece on E-bay depending on size and color.

Seems that Dick's has already sold out - I'm having the same problem. And a 4-month back order if you order from the manufacturer. Best bet is Ebay from what I've seen.
Guys! there is another one that called swim blade and is made by Glambler. It's the exact same thing as the chatterbait and you can get them at lots of places. Mine should be here tommorrow. I'm surprised that Dick's carry stuff like that. I have decided to not ever steps into another Dick's again after the first few time since they showed up in IN. Maybe they just now realized that the old Galyan's faithful (myself included) have turned to BassPro, Cabelas, Gander Mountain (sometime)and other internet sources for their fishing tackle. Dick's is losing a big chunk of that market to others and has wisen up finally.
