I've been wanting to get back to Vevay and fish the dam but have no idea how high the river can be on the guage. I know at Louisville not to go if it's over 20 and usually don't go when it's that high or even close. I hate to drag a boat from Indy for nothing especially with nowhere else around there to really divert to. Bummer is I went there twice last year and neither time did I think to check the guage since I had problems with the boat. Any help would be appreciated.

i do use the usace site but i'm not sure of what the river looks like compared to the guage. i know at Louisville if the river is running at 23 then its way too high and usually would go if it's between about 16 and 12. i've got a whole list of places i've been and what the guages say but markland is one i don't know. i'm guessing that louisville is looking good markland unless it goes up between now and the weekend should look pretty good.
Pool stage in the tailwater is approx 14' if this helps.
thanks for the info. hopefully will get down there next weekend if the weather holds.
