Yesterday I fished Giest.
Like most lake property, mom's and dads have to work two jobs just to make the payments. That means Teenage kids are left home to fend for themselfs.
It's hard to flip the docks when so many youngsters are sun tanning, Not to complain but,, its impossiable to fish some of the coves because of the girls doing cannonballs off dad's party pontoon.
I can remember smelling the mixture of gasoline and oil smoke from the old Johnson outboard as a kid. Yesterday all I could smell was coppertone and Banana suntan spray, lofting in the morining air.
The water temp. was 73* thats perfect for bass fishing, but too cold to be wearing some of the outfits that I saw. I just wanted to let ya all you know, the fishing wasn't too bad but with all the distractions, Geist is almost too tuff to fish.
"That,,, that doesn't kills us, makes us stronger" I'll continue fishing that area, because of the challenges that the lake offers. Even though its a two hour drive to get there.
