    RE: Bad Day.........Truck Broken INTO

I see absolutely no problem packing heat while boating or floating. I've fished in some fairly remote areas - you never know who might be out there waiting to take one on you.

If they are strips or white bass they will hit a daredevel spoon at times. Might have to figure out what size the shad are and try to match them sizewise with your bait.

When Shad are forced to the top it could be any type of fish under them. Crappie and Bass will corner shad too.

Try a bait that sinks very slowly also. Try to match a wounded baitfish that is sinking slowly towards the bottom.

I first fished for jumping or (Firing )white bass on Kentucy Lake and boy was that fun. They hit crankbaits there. A white bomber run though the school might triggers some strikes.

With that many shad available your lure has to compete with all that live bait. So try to make the bait look like an easy meal to stand out from the crowd.
