Lake is pretty clear. Lot's of nice weed beds and very deep water. There is a weed line around pretty much the entire lake, some pads in the channels, lots of docks. If the weather is cool you should have a good time. Can't help on what to use and where, but I'm sure you can find some bass near the grass.

Where is the ramp located for Tippy, Do you take the Leesbug road to get to the ramp?.

I'm looking to fish it for bass,I figure on throwing a sinko,,, top water in the AM,,, spinner bait and crank bait after 10:00. did you find any grass or pads?

    Good luck next time out

if you go through leesburg then turn south after crossing rr tracks. go to armstrong road go east you will see on the north side two stone gates and on the south side you see a sign saying tippy dancehall. this is where i launched. it costs $10. but is better than the state ramp. i threw buzz baits and chuggers in the am. then when the sun popped out went to crankbaits, found some pads in little tippy but this was very shallow and clear. tried skipping dingers (sinko's) under boat docks. this weekend calls for rain and clouds maybe it will be better.
