Fellow Bass fisherman near or informative about Geist,

I am looking for any open tourney info for this weekend on Geist.
Any info would be much appreciated.

We fished the open tourney last Sat (9/23) put on by the guys who do the Tues nighters. I know they said that there was a tourney on both Sat and Sun this coming weekend. I'm not sure who is putting on the one on Sat (maybe even that group again). However, the Sun Tourney is being put on by West Indy Bass Club as an American Cancer Society benefit. 75% payback. $60+$10 big bass per team. (plus launch, of course!)x(

I would guess that if you show up at about 6am on either day, you'll be able to get into the tourney.

I was out last Saturday for fun, just figured I would try again this weekend, since we struggled so bad last weekend. Maybe with a little on the line we may produce something. Cant catch if you dont fish.

How did you end up last weekend. I found it slow and tough, but someone always does well. I just hope they are doing it within the rules.

You can see my post below under "Cancer tournament on 10/1".

Only took 11lbs to win on Sat. Big bass was 3.5lbs. We caught quite a few short fish (20ish)but only boated 2 keepers for about 4.5lbs. Strongly believe that we had 2 other keepers on but didn't get them in. I'm not sure that anyone put together anything solid. Fish were grabbing the soft plastic and swimming away. No strong bites. If you free-lined it down a dock post, the fish picked it up and had it back to the boat before you knew you had a bite. By the time you picked up the slack, they were gone. Nothing was happening deep either. All in all, tough.
