We are planning our first trip to Weiss the week of Feb 20 and are staying at JR's marina. What kind of patterns should we look for this time of year? Most reports I can find sound like they are trolling 1/16 oz or smaller jigs. Do you add extra weight above the jig to keep it down or just move extremely slow? I have not tried trolling for crappie at home (Indiana). I usually cast or vertical jig Road Runners. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
