Shad Lips please help me

I was planning to come down on the weekend of 12/10/05 and will be fishing the Scottsboro area of the lake. I was needing some info on how to fish the lake this time of the year. What is the water temp now? Is this a good time to come or is the fall bite slowed way down. Thanks in advance.

I haven't had my boat in the water for some time now, but I can tell you what has worked for me in the past. According to friends the water temperature is in the upper 40's now. I've has my best luck fishing rock ledges and hump weed edges with a deep diving crankbait or a 1 oz spinnerbait. A jig 'n pig will almost always be good for a quaslity fish or two. You'd better dress warm and be sure to wear those life jackets. Good Luck!
