RE: First week Oct. Pickwick,Wilson and Wheeler

Ya never know who youll find when looking on different boards.:) In my opinion you've got to stick with the Decauter flats. last time I was there , there was alot of grass & fish on the flats. I read were one pro said ( I believe it was Tim Horton) that 90% of the tournaments won on wheeler were won on the Decauter flats. A couple of years ago I was fishing a pretty big tourney down there and tried to reinvent the wheel and I found out again that the wheel has allready been invented (I didnt fish the flats). There are some other interesting things about the lake, lillypads were abundant 2 years ago and the fish dont mind going shallow ,real shallow. Ive got a spinnerbait that a friend of mine gave me who lives down there and swears by it, at one time I believe he held the lake record and it was caught on this particular kind of spinnerbait. If I can find it I will give it to you tuesday night if your going to be there. Just my two cents, Jarrod

Thanks for the info Jarrod. I love the 3 lakes and have a hard time making up my mind which to fish. But this trip I plan on 3 days on Wheeler.

    See Ya at T-ville
