looking for a non-salesman opinion first...
Is your land flat? The pull behinds will scalp on rolling land. At least the one that I used.
I have used these, used to sell the pull behinds at myold job.buy them locally then if you have aproblem it isnt a big hassle to get warranty taken care of,most places now days put you on the back burner if you didnt purchase it from them,if you keep them sharp and use them as a regular mower not a brush, tree, sapling hog they are great.if you can safely ride the 4 wheeler you can mow it.i,ve only been out of this business 2 years and in my opinion get enough hp motor, with pressurized oil system, honda, kohler, briggs, tecumseh,in that order.don't be afraid to shop or get in a big hurry you can save money by shopping.
good luck
Thanks for the advice; i went to a polaris dealership and their models come with briggs. looks like they make a "floating deck" model that helps reduce scalping too and you can attach it to the front or rear of the ATV. I guess this is the option I'm going to pursue and I'll definitely shop around.
you need to find an old retired scag or chopper . you can finf them from $2000 to $4000 pritty easy. service it and it should last you forever mowing 3 arcers a week.once you get the hang of running it, on 3 acrers will only take you 45 min to cut.
