Trolling Motor Question

Have a Minn Kota 67lb. foot controlled motor. Bought new spring before last.

Motor is catching/hanging sometimes when trying to turn it. Can hear something rubbing about the center of the shaft or above. Sounds like it might be around the bearing keeper. Pedal hangs. After working it for a minute or so it breaks fress. Don't believe it's in the head of the motor because when I try to move the pedal, I can see the head trying to torque. Took bearing keeper off and bearings look good. Anyone have any ideas on what this might be.

After it breaks loose, it works fine for a while then locks back up.

Your shaft isn't bent is it?
