Need help!!! How long is gas good???

I haven't had the time to get my boat as much as I wanted to this summer, my question to everyone is how long is gas good???
The last time I filled up was last December before a trip to C'land and I added Stabil to the tank then, but there is still around 1/2 tank left. Could I take it and fill the rest up with 93 and some more stabil and be alright???

It Will start losing umph after about 60 days,fill it up with 93 octane and put some fuel drier in it to help remove water,that is wthe worst culprit,a full tank will not condensate like a 3\4 or less.if you aren't sure you can run it pretty regular put 93 in it with stabil,just keep it full.also try to run all of this old\new mix out mostly before you fill er back up.If there isn't much in it take the fuel line loose and get a few cans or what ever it takes then use the primer bulb and just drain it out and put it in your vehicle.

You did say you added Stabil? I think if you read the label on a bottle of stabil, it says it will keep gas good up to like two years. Gas by itself doesn't last real long--couple of months at best.

It says on there website that normal dosage will kep gas fresh 12 months---double the dosage and gas will be good for two years. I wouldn't bother with the 93 octane.

I was down at Lexington Marine today, and I was talking to a fellow in the service dept. about this exact subject. He was saying that the quality of gas has really declined and it will lose a percentage point of octane after only two weeks. So, if your motor says to use 87 octane and that's what your putting in, you only have a short amount of time before it's really only 86 octane. He was saying that it was really wreaking havoc on these new sophisticated motors. I guess when I buy my boat I will be using the high octane gas for a little more of a buffer.

keeping it full helps it to not lose punch,lets less air in the tank therefore it doesn't evaporate out the good stuff,i stabil my gas all time unless i know i'm gonna run it every 10 20 days.when i was taking classes by poulan weedeater our instructor had 87 octane gas that was 120 days old and it would barely light with a match and it burned slow as kerosene.
