Water in boat.

Have a new Ranger Z19. And the auto bilge pump kicks on and shoots out a little water yet we never took on any water. Calm water, no skiers around and they keep pumpin out water. Didn't see alot of water down in bottom of boat like the plugs not tight or something. Also can't keep live wells dry. I even put pvc screw-on caps where the screens where in the bottom of the live wells. Stills water gets in? My Triton stayed dry unless I pumped water in.

Do you have water in the live-wells with Re-Circ on when you get water in the boat? If so you could have a leak in one of the hoses. What are the conditions and what options are you using at these times?

If I turn the re circ on water shoot in and then shoots out the back if I pull the re circ valve. But water still ends up in live wells with caps on and empty on. Had boat on the water and look into the bottom of boat and the screen in the bottom of the boat and did not see much water at all just a little. Look back by the batteries and just barely had alittle water, like the cooler draining or something. Yet the auto bilge kicks on and shoots a stream.

Not familiar with how the Ranger cooler works, but on my triton, the cooler drains directly into the bilge, and does not have a plug. As a result, I end up with water in my bilge.

Could this be the same thing for you?

One thing, I never get enough water for my auto bilge to kick on, but I do routinely turn my bilge on just to be sure, and often, especially on really hot days, pump out some water.

I had 3 rangers and 1 triton now. Never had the pump kick on before always had to turn it on as well. I thought about the ice too, but just had a little bit of ice and last Friday no ice at all. Pulled plug at ramp each time and hit the bilge while the boat was on the steep angle on the ramp. Yet while fishing water shot out the back twice on friday like I turned the water hose on. Thanks for the input!

I'm not sure what could cause this, maybe it's got a hole somewhere in the lines like our beloved Bengals Defense.
