Looking for summertime tips for lake Sinclair.

I have a club bass tourn. on sept. 10 at lake sinclair. Could use some help on summer patterns and methods. Would the standing grass be a good bet or should I go deep? We will be fishing during the daylight hours so if anybody has a tip on where to go or what to use I will be very gratefull. Thanks, Hollywood.
