Seeing lots of cruising bucks. These cool nights are the trick. I shot a nice 10 pointer today, about 1 1/2 inches outside the ears looked like 8 inch G2's, heavy. Aimed low in the crease and squared him in the hip. I'm sick. I guess he took a step right as I released. Trailed him about 600 yds after I waited 3 hrs to get down. He never laid down, not one bed. The blood just got less and less and was gone. Disappointing things happen when you bowhunt, still sick feeling. Needless to say shot the bow many times this afternoon, hit dead on. Can't figure it out. Just sick feeling.
