I was thinking about a 7mm-08, or a .270, which would you choose? Really leaning toward the 7mm-08, light recoil, but high muzzle energy. I really like the new American Classic 14 and 114.

I assume you are buying this as a deer rifle, both are good guns however for me the ole 270 is hard to beat. Nice caliber for our terrain and plenty big for whitetails. Good luck in your decision, but savage is a good choice.
