Deer Hunting??

The rut is in full swing. From what I can tell all the mature deer are locked up with does. Still seeing the little bucks cruising but not the good deer. A friend of mine actually got to watch a doe get bred on tuesday. Still never have actually got to see that. I have the same fears you do on the cameras.

went out Sunday morning saw 6 does together at 90 yards playing around for 20 min then they took off the way they came It was fun to watch but had no chance for a shot Heading out again thanksgiving morning they are calling for snow showers In southern IN should be a good time to hit the woods

I have been hunting 3 weekends in a row and have yet to see a good qualty buck. i think in my neck of the woods the deer arent rutting. i have seen up to 23 deer in one field and only a small 6 pointer with the does. whats up with the big bucks?

I never saw a good shooter either, I think that now the shots are over with some good deer should be moving again. A buddy of my shot a decent 10pt. around Dec. 10th a few years ago, so theres always hope. I believe it will pick back up, Id say the rut is over but there is still some strange does running around yet to but humped. Hope someone gets a big one, I know Im due all the nice deer Ive let go. I never did see a good buck much less a trophy during the modern gun season. Maybe during the muzzleloader season...
