Danny I have a Winchester 30-30 that belonged to my dad, my mom bought it for him around 1972. She paid I believe about $150.00 for it, so it should be worth about $ 300.00 or more by now... Hope this helps

Thanks guys.
I have another gun that I am hesitant to say what it is, but it is an original and worth in the thousands.
Moose, you are right about the pictures. We've done that in the past, but for some reason, I have gotten out of that habit. Thanks very much for the reminder, I need to begin doing that again.
I also have come into a 30.06 single shot bolt action about the same age.
BTW, did I say I love shooting guns?? One of my passions is really target shooting. It's great fun.
Tight lines and God Bless
Danny
Danny,
You need an EXACT age on that gun. Here's why:
Winchester was an American owned/produced gun up until 1964. In 1964, Winchester was bought by some Japanese. ANY Winchester made before 1964 is probably worth double than a post 1964 Winchester. In some cases, they're worth umpteen thousands of dollars depending on the model and the caliber.
If you want, e-mail me the serial number and I'll see if I can track it down for you. I can also give you a value on the other gun you're talking about as well.
my e-mail address is [email protected]
Take care my friend.
