I took this bruiser 8pt at 7 yards on Thursday morning 11/02/06 at 9AM while setting on the edge of a small oak flat adjoining an old clear cut. I had just completed a little rattling and grunting when I thought I heard a faint grunt. Couldn't be I thought, just hearing things; then he grunted again and I started looking. He was 30 yards behind me (and below me) and straight down wind. He came in on a string, actually got too close before I could stand and turn around on him. Green scored at 139 7/8 gross and field dressed 170lbs. Between 3-4" of deductions.
