    Matt Robinson

    Hey Matt,

It seems you have some dislike for me, as well as for at least one other person on the board. That may not be the case really, maybe there has just been some misunderstandings.

I do know I teased you a little while I was in the club, but that was only because I kind of like you, and thought you could take it in the good natured way it was intended.

So in the interest of restoring some peace to this board, let's try reaching out with some information that may give us even more common ground. We both like fishing, so we both have that as common ground.

You say you work for DESA International. You said you build prototypes for them. So tell us more.

    What shift do you work?
When do you get to go fishing?
Do you only get to fish on weekends?
What kind of boat are you running now?
How about your truck, what kind do you have?
    Have you gotten married yet?
    Any kids?

As you know, I am not working right now, and am considering staying retired. I am still married, same wonderful woman. I still drive the same Ford F150, though we are discussiong buying a new one... I'd like to go back to Chevy. I still have my 2002 Triton TR21.

Let's see if we can let this petty bickering end, and enhance the board for all.

    Danny

Since we are all having a big group hug here, who's the other that doesn't like you, enquiring minds want to know?

Thought I stumbled onto a Dr. Phil message board, can we just talk fishing instead of acting like teenage girls and worrying about who likes us or not...life is too short. Just my .02's.
Now to add fishing content....what are the advantages to football headed jigs?

despite your lack of appreciation for my trying to rid this board of petty bickering, I'll answer about the football head jigs.

They stand a little differently than many other jigs, and have a way of coming through rocks without hanging up so baddly.

It's really just trying something a little different than the next guy.

I'm sure someone else can give a more detailed answer.

    Danny,
i have no problem letting things go but when people keep on bringing them up over and over i tend to get a little pissed off. Not being a smarta**, but i do not even remember you messin with me.

I build all kinds of prototypes... i could be working on a water gun one week and a chain saw the other. right now i am working on a generator and i have and am still in the process of making more fishing lures. my teachers billy and wes sneed taught me alotabout making lures. infact i have just made my own football head desiegn and made the mold last week. I have also made a paco craw and a few other lures.

I drive an 05 black w/ silver trim dodge and have an 03 ranger with a 150. gotta girlfriend and a baby on the way.. due sept. 1st gonna get married one day just want to take the financial route first.

well that is pretty much my hole life there.

    Congratulations Matt!!

Dude, congratulations on the little one coming!! I have to say you are a brave young man. Having a child, and not being married is a tough way to go. I know, my first wife was really into what money I made. When she was 6 mons. pregenant, she told me to leave, and I paid 18 years of child support. I did this when I was between jobs, and had to put it on my credit cards. I did this despite her trying to turn my daughter away from me. She'll be a junior in college this year.

I'm guessing you must work second shift?? That can be pretty cool this time of year. Do you get to run to the lake for some night fishing after you get off? You know Barren is only about 30 minutes there from Bowling Green, and you could get a good night's fishing in. Not to mention, you could get up and be at the lake and get several good hours of fishing in before you have to go to work that night.

So you switched to Ranger huh? Didn't you used to fish with your uncle out of his Triton? Did he switch too?

BTW, I notice you said you build lures too. Is this done there at work, or are you doing that at home? I'm just starting to experiment a little with football head jigs. I might have to try to talk you out of a few of your special molded ones...LOL

Will talk later.... but see... we have other things in common. fishing and now being an estranged father. I could say we had dodges in common, but I bought a new one in 1988, and could not sell it fast enough...LOL
